  • Tiger Construction completed the replacement of the Bayhead Creek culvert beneath Killebrew Lake Road on Orcas Island, improving drainage while restoring the surrounding stream channel and habitat.

The project included stream diversion, clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, and installation of a new precast concrete box culvert. Tiger’s scope also included reconstruction of the roadway with a compacted gravel base and asphalt paving, new guardrail installation, channel reconstruction, and habitat restoration.

Working within an environmentally sensitive area and an active island roadway required careful coordination of site access, sequencing, water management, and restoration activities. The completed project provides a durable roadway crossing while improving the function of Bayhead Creek and its surrounding habitat.
